Digitizing
Every embroiderer has
experienced, within their career, at least one design that looks and runs very well and at
least one design that looks and/or runs poorly. Neither of these extremes are by
coincidence. There are reasons why these designs perform as they do. The biggest
difference between these two scenarios is not found in either the computer software nor
the digitizing techniques. The difference is simply the amount of embroidery knowledge
found in the person doing the digitizing.
The process of creating high quality embroidery designs that run as much as 10,000 to
15,000 stitches between thread breaks is not by accident. People who create these designs
possess two things; a) digitizing skills and b) vast knowledge of the laws of Physics as
they apply to embroidery. The digitizing skills can be taught in as little as three to
five days. Graduates of graphic arts programs have already mastered these skills. The
embroidery skills on the other hand take many years of experience to acquire.
Here is where
our customized training programs can save you a lot of money. Rather than invest a lot of
time rediscovering what others have learned, invest minimal time learning from the
experts. Learn all of the "do's" without having to experience all of the
"don'ts". Drastically speed up your learning curve with the help of a personal
trainer.
Our
digitizing training is a generic program. We do not focus heavily on the concepts of
digitizing, but rather the principles of adapting art into runnable designs. This is done
by focusing on the following areas:
1) How to section art into elements
2) How to approach a design. Where to start, what to do next.
3) Proper stitch lengths and densities
4) Push and Pull compensation
5) The art of underlay
6) Digitizing for trimmers
7) Proper way to do complex fills
8) Small lettering and fine detail
9) And much, much more
