Production Efficiency

The one single facet that has the greatest impact on your company’s bottom line is the level of efficiency found in your production department. Everyone in the embroidery industry uses the same equipment and supplies however that is where the similarity ends. The processes that are used to operate the equipment and the skill levels of the operators vary extensively. While many embroidery operations, utilize "home grown" techniques and methods, the most productive and profitable operations utilize engineered, synergy based techniques and methods.

Home grown techniques often get the job done with a simplistic approach to each step in the process. Here the emphasis is placed on completing each step, not efficiency.

Engineered techniques, on the other hand, focus on the most efficient and effective way to do the process.  By using engineered techniques, you will maximize output while minimizing labor and materials.  While there are many incremental techniques being employed in an engineered environment, the most effective and efficient overall technique in the installation of a Modular Production Environment.  In a Modular shop, pure synergy is employed to increase machine output by focusing on teams of support individuals rather than individual operators.

Effective production also requires a mastery of certain skills.  In addition to hooping and operating the machines' console, the most fundamental of these skills is learning how to set thread tensions with ease and confidence.  This training is available for all levels of operator, from beginner to advanced.  To make this training process even easier we have produced a new CD ROM Video, "The Art of Proper Thread Tensioning"  This CD ROM simply slips into your computer, utilizing it's own proprietary software to present a live motion video that teachs the theory and practice behind proper thread tensioning.  As a Bonus, we have included a demonstration of the "FrankG" knot.   This knot can be used to change thread colors quickly and easily because it passes throught the eye of your needle.  No more re-threading of your needle at color changes.
